Privacy & your notebook
How Imagine Neville handles browser-local notes, exports, hosting requests and third-party links. No account or remote journal storage.
Effective November 5, 2026
Your words stay in your browser
The Scene Builder and Reflection Journal run with JavaScript on your device. When you choose Save, they store their data in this site’s local storage. The code does not transmit your field contents, imported backups or journal entries to a server. Personal text is not placed in the page URL.
Local storage is not encrypted or access-controlled by this site. Anyone who can use the same browser profile may be able to read it. Browser extensions or device administrators may also have access according to their permissions. Avoid a shared device for sensitive material.
Saved copies and backups
Local storage belongs to a browser profile and site origin. A different browser, device, HTTP/HTTPS address or subdomain may have a different saved copy. Private browsing, cleared site data, browser settings or storage limits can remove or block it. The site has no server copy to recover for you.
Export creates a JSON file containing the scene or saved journal entries. Anyone with the file can read it. You choose where it is stored. Import reads a selected file locally and replaces that tool’s local copy only after confirmation. The site limits file size and validates its format. Unsaved journal editor fields are not included in exports or printouts.
Removing data
Use Remove on an entry or Clear the whole journal to remove saved journal data in this browser. Clear this scene removes the scene’s local copy. These actions do not delete downloaded files, printed pages, PDFs or copies on other devices. Delete those separately if you want them removed.
Page requests and hosting
Loading a page sends ordinary network information to the hosting infrastructure, such as IP address, browser information, request time and requested path. The intended host is Hostinger. The hosting provider may process access or security logs under its policies. This site does not claim those routine requests are anonymous or set a provider log-retention period.
Analytics, cookies and outside links
This release includes no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, external font requests or newsletter forms. The application does not set cookies; it uses local storage when you save. Links to books, publisher pages and research leave this site. Those services have their own privacy practices. No third-party content is embedded in the notebook tools.
Contact and changes
No public contact form or monitored support inbox is configured in this release. The site does not collect an email address or ask you to submit a diary. This notice will need an update if the site adds services that change how data is handled.
